Sharpen your C# skills

Pro C#

I just finished working through this book, Pro C# 5.0 and the .Net 4.5 Framework, by Andrew Troelsen. I must admit, this is most probably one of the most comprehensive and well written books on C# that I ever studied.

Andrew Troelsen tackles the subject and demonstrate, in depth, how the language is put together and how to build robust code libraries. His style of writing is easy to read and the examples provided is actually working. The code samples in the book is also available for download.

What really caught my eye is the fact that the author will take a subject and explain it with an example of code and will work up to the simplest shorthand code sample possible. Just this simple approach will teach you a lot and make understanding the underlying principles much better.

This book is pretty large with more than a 1500 pages, but I can assure you that you do not want to miss a single page.
